With the arrival of hot desking and flatter work structures, the modern office has become a much more fluid, less hierarchical environment. Secluded private spaces are often combined with open areas for more communal activities. A system of internal screens is to dynamically change the complex network of spaces which form the contemporary workplace. Flexible, durable, easy to clean, and available in a wide range of colours and textures, rubber would make an ideal medium for dividing space. Rubber is to be clad to simple steel armatures to produce screens which may be curved or used in a rectilinear manner. These screens have an inner void through which electrical and communication cables may be routed. Components can be quickly rearranged, giving users a degree of control over their working environment.
