3. Perimeter path

Initial thoughts were of a simple stained softwood pergola with individual clear polycarbonate overhead panels, removable for flexibility & maintenance.

 

If we want to pave the area from the building to the edge of the existing footpath, two rows of pillars will probably be needed to cope with the relatively large span (See rough sketch below)

 

It is possible that the banked part of the site might be used as a small multi-level play area- see 8. OUTDOOR SPACE for a little background reading.
